Watermelon Games

Watermelon Munch: This game might be a little mess but it's definitely worth it for the fun. All you will need for this game is watermelon cut into slices and maybe some clean up supplies. Each player is gonna get a slice of watermelon in front of them sitting up on the rim. Then the players need to put their hand behind their back and on the count of 3 everyone starts eating no hands allowed at once. The first done with their watermelon wins!

Watermelon Rolling Race: Divide party guests into two teams and each team gets a large watermelon.  The object of the game is for the teams to roll their watermelon across the playing area to a set mark and then back. Throw in a few obstacles to work around such as cones or hills.  First team with all of their members to complete the race wins.

human ring toss

Supplies wise all you’ll need for this game is three 36” pool rings for each team. To play the game you will have teams of two one is who you’re throwing rings onto the other is throwing the rings. family reunion games
blanket run

This game is perfect for a child and adult combo so that's definitely how I suggest setting up your teams. This will require a blanket for each team and that's all. You can play this game in a big indoor room or in a yard, whichever is ideal for you. So you will need to set up like a race space just like a start line and a finish line. Have all your players at the start line with the child sitting on the blanket and the adult holding it in a way they can pull. The adult will pull the blanket the child must stay on and the first team to the finish wins.

family reunion games
sock wrestling

This is a fun wrestling game where the all guests get to participate in. To play each guest removes their shoes and their right sock. Everyone gets on their hands and knees and tries to remove other players' socks while keeping theirs on. If their sock gets removed they are out of the game. The player with the last remaining sock on wins! Make sure you mark off the “ring” so everyone will know what the playing boundaries are. This can be done simply, by using some kind of markers. Make sure to set rules like no hitting or sitting on your socks. Then enjoy and lest the wrestling commence.

family reunion games
dodgeball

This game is perfect for family reunions because you can have as many or little people and is super adjustable to family size. The objective of dodgeball is to eliminate all players of the opposing team by throwing balls and hitting the opposing player below the shoulders on the fly. All the other rules are super adjustable and customizable to your family but it’s super important to decide and let all the players know beforehand to avoid arguments. Once that's all settled, have fun and enjoy the game!

family reunion games
tug of war

This is a very traditional party game but fun nonetheless. First things first what are you gonna need? You are going to need a rope, a kiddie pool and kiddie pool filling of choice can be water shaving cream whip cream whatever you want. Have your teams stand opposite sides of the pool holding the rope and count down two 3 to start pulling. The team that ends in the pool are your losers.

family reunion games
junk in the trunk

To prepare for this game, empty a tissue box, and use an Exacto knife to make two slits into the bottom of the box. Thread an adjustable belt or wide ribbon through the two slits to create a tissue-box-on-a-belt. To play the game, strap the tissue box onto the player’s back, and fill it with 6-8 ping pong balls. Shake, shimmy, jump, and dance around until all of the balls have fallen out of the tissue box. No using your hands and no laying down! The first to get all the balls out wins!
